You are the top comment so editing in a judgement will be ideal or the last judgement is likely to be INFO.After using read your edit, NTA. A videogame itself may be insignificant but she gave you her sentence on the norm for behavior and she violated it. Honesty is something which ought to be encouraged.NTA, she's nine, old enough to Animal Crossing Bells know you dont destroy something you are sharing. A week with no change is an age, and activity, appropriate punishment.
NTA because there was an arrangement before. Yes, it might be"only a game" but it is still a boundary that has been established and then trampled. It's about honor and it's not like off a week the Switch is going to hurt anybody.
If it is a fully shared console and game then I think it is nice, albeit a bit OTT, to take it off.
If the console was given for her and she's the expectation that she has primary possession, and she's sharing it with you so you can play with Animal Crossing, then I would consider this punishment foolish.
There's 1 island which they all share, and one day the daughter was playing about the change and destroyed the island that is shared, for the three of them. There didn't any means to have an island for each separate player sadly
I get that there is only 1 island each console. But I'm referring to this quotation in the OP:"I took her Shift" This suggests that the singular console in this story belongs to the daughter rather than the OP.This is significant info. If its her switch and match then this was too much.I'm confused with this as well because OP composed'her switch.' So is it that your kid's turn and your game? The OP is most likely that the Resident Representative aka they have the most control over the island.
I also play Animal Crossing so that I know the one island each console rule along with also the Resident Representatove concept. I am referring to how the OP says"I took her Switch," which implies that the one Switch involved here belongs to the daughter.YTA. I mean. . .this is a child who chopped down several trees on a fake island that may readily be cheap Animal Crossing New Horizons Items replanted. If you wanted an ideal island, why are you sharing with a 9 year old?
